Additional photos that I finally managed to obtain from my colleague. These shots were taken from far at 4th floor of the hotel. Such good SLR!

Trip to Thistle Hotel, Port Dickson
I had to work in a function last Thursday and Friday in Thistle Hotel, Port Dickson. Daddy and Lunz tagged along as well. We were there for 3 days 2 nights. In fact, my company only gave us one night stay (Thursday night) and we had earlier decided to extend another night when the function has end, purely just to relax and enjoy ourselves on this half-sponsored holiday.
As I had to work whole day on Thursday, daddy babysitted Lunz. Occasionally, I dropped by during breaks just to check out if both of them were alright. Upon check-in to our room, daddy took Lunz to a Kidz Club (some child play area) located on the first floor and the little one had fun playing with the toys. Much to daddy's dismay later when he found out that he eventually need to pay to use the facility. Earlier on when he told me about the place, I thought that the hotel is so nice to have a child play area for the guests' convenience. But it turned out that we have to pay to get the facility. Not a hotel that I would consider going back again considering its not-so-user-friendly facilities.
Daddy was asked by the hotel's staff on how long the little one had played and insisted for a payment of RM50 for a whole day of playing in the room until 5pm. Daddy told the fella that he was unaware that he has to pay to enter as there was no signage indicating such and no staff was posted there to look after when he entered. No way he was going to pay for that. Then, both daddy and Lunz quickly left the room.
Soon after that, daddy brought Lunz to the pool. The little one was very daring with the slides located next to the pool. Rounds after rounds he had so much fun sliding down to the pool. I was on the 4th floor watching them with my colleagues. One of my colleague managed to take some photos of Lunz going down the slide using our company's SLR camera with the fantastic zoom lense. Unfortunately, he is on leave today, I can't get the pictures from him yet. I will upload immediately to this section once I got the pictures. Meanwhile, gotta upload what I have first. The little one was very brave with the pool, even crossing over to the adult's pool. He even intended to swim without the floating ring, in which of course, daddy will not let him to. This is the first time he was this daring with pools. Maybe my boy has already grown up and knows how to enjoy the fun!
For lunch, they ate what I had prepared earlier from home.....cookies, maggie mee, hotdogs and sandwiches. Then, according to daddy, both of them took a nap until I had my dinner break around 6pm. We went out together at a nearby restaurant for dinner. After that, I had to resume my meeting at 8pm while both of them lingered in the room. With laptops, books and toys that we brought along, it was sufficient to keep the little one entertained. Unlike cities, both of them can always have a stroll at a nearby mall or park, but in Port Dickson, they were stuck in the room.
For next morning, daddy decided to bring Lunz to the Kidz Club even though the hotel was charging us sky high to use the room because there practically wasn't anywhere they both can go besides staying in the room while I worked. I had to finish the morning half session of the function that only ends by lunch. To our surprise, actually the fees to use the room was on RM15 instead of RM50. Maybe, daddy heard it wrongly. Lunz played for awhile and soon got bored. According to daddy, then the two of them played with the elevators instead. Going up and down pressing the buttons in the elevators.
After lunch I was finally free, Lunz played in the outdoor park for awhile, then all of us headed on to the pool for a dip. Luckily the pool was nice, comforting to know that the only attraction for the hotel still looks good.
Nothing much is interesting in PD. The only attraction in the hotel is just the swimming pool. The beach is a BIG OUT. Given RM 300 ++ for a night stay in this hotel, I might as well switch the direction to Pulau Perhentian or Redang for RM400-500, 3 days 2 nights per pax inclusive of meals. And at least the beaches has carpet sand and crystal blue water. But since this was a half-sponsored trip, therefore it was still alright to have a place to relax for the weekend. And to swim as well.

That's the slide I talked about just now.

Lunz's 4th Birthday
The little one will be 4 years old tomorrow. Since his birthday falls on a weekday, both mummy and daddy decided to throw him a birthday bash at home last Sunday so that everybody can come. We only invited my side of family, you know just for the kids to have fun playing around. As usual, we had steamboat. We had a lot of fun chatting and eating together and they even helped with the dishes after that.
Already holding his presents, don't wanna let go....now, he seems to enjoy the process of tearing up the present papers to have a peep on what's inside.
A shot with the princess.
Mummy with the box of cake bought from Breadstory in Mid Valley.
Ta-da! It's a mango cake.
Blur look because he don't know it's his birthday. I have to keep telling him it's Lun Lun's birthday la....

Mei mei got too excited and blew off the candles even before the song ended. Big kao foo lit the candles again.
He requested to cut the cake....now he knows he has to cut the cake.
I told daddy he really 'seh tak' to buy a 200 over bucks gift for the boy. He told me, "That's my son, if I don't love him, who am I supposed to love".

Gift from daddy. We got it from Toys' R Us. Initially, we got him a tent with a tunnel connected to it but we refunded it because once we gotten it assembled, it wasn't really suitable for indoor.

Honestly daddy, I'm touched not because of the expensive gifts but rather more on the fate and luck of having you as a part of our lives. Love you both!
Mural Finally Up and Done!
Our big project has finally came to an end after hours of painting every night once the little one has gone to bed. I told daddy we need to take a break before the next one begins. After all, I need to spend some quality time relaxing and reading the romance novels that I have just borrowed. ;)
Anyway, below are some of the pictures taken during the hard work:

First part of the entire stretch almost done.
Then, the little one scribbled on the B!

Finally, our hard work were over...below are some shots of the finished project in the effort to decorate Lunz own room.
Mural painting is definitely not easy. Apart from being extremely careful not to color across the border of different areas, you have to apply 2-3 coats of paint for the painting to appear nice. It took us at least 2 weeks with the painting because we can only start work after Luz had gone to bed, for it not, he will surely says he wants to color as well.
Mum complimented it looked wonderful and since there are colors left, we will proceed to another one soon. Maybe perhaps the Mickey Mouse & Friends or the Pocoyo images. Whichever is easiest to draw and color, of course.

Term Assessment and Paint Project
It has been quite some time since I updated my blog. Besides being pretty busy at work, I have got practically nothing much to report. But, since I wanted to write about Lunz first semester assessment, I wouldn't mind sparing a few minutes at work to update my blog.
On May 29th (Saturday), both daddy and I attended Lunz's semester assessment at his kindi. The boy was very shy when his teacher commented about him. He was facing else where most of the time leaving me to talk to his teaches as daddy had to entertain him. I guess this was because we were around that time. But according to his teacher, even though during classes he won't looked at them face to face as well. There was a scene when he even hid his head underneath the table to avoid looking at his teachers.
The principle sat down and chatted together with us. According to them....
1. Lunz got 100% in all his papers, i.e., Chinese, numbers and English but he got a B+ only in writing. I'm so proud of him regardless how much he got.
2. He did a lot of artwork in which some were quite cute such as gluing cotton on top of a paper sheep cut-out. I brought home his artworks to keep.
3. His teacher told me he doesn't pay much attention during class but he knew what the teacher was teaching because when it comes to answering questions, he was able to answer correctly without failed.
4. He was good academically, in fact, he is one of the best but in terms of social mix around with other people, he is still lacking.
5. Likes music a lot.
6. Joins in PE classes only when he likes the day's activity.
7. He was placed between the 2 most talkative kids in his class. Reason? To encourage him to speak and responds more to other kids.
8. He took the lunch that I packed for him only whenever he felt like it. If not, he will closed back the container and stuffed it back into his bag. But he took the food that the teachers gave everyday. You know lar....people's food are always tastier.
9. Has a stubborn attitude. I knew that....
Guess I still need to boost his confidence. His principle told me it will takes around 1 year for him to start socializing around without being shy. Growing up is a process, we will guide him along the way and also let him enjoy his childhood. After all, he is still young. Why should there be pressure on him? That's why I also didn't help him much to revise for his exam lately. Just threw him a paper for each subject and let him did out of fun. When he was done, I kept them away. No reading and revising. This is just a time for him to build up his character and have fun. Childhood fun. Seriousness comes later when it's time.
We brought home his exam papers, his artwork and his progress report book. Well, for rewarding him as well as for his coming birthday, we decided to get him a bicycle. Hehehe....
Plus, both daddy and I already has a big project on-going for the little one. We are in the midst of decorating his own room. At the mean time, we are half way with the mural painting. Correct! We are painting the walls in his room. We started off with ABCs and wanted to draw a lot of his favorite cartoon characters such as Mickey and friends, Pocoyo, Little Einsteins and etc. But it is not as easy as what we initially thought. Both daddy and I can only resume our work everyday when the little one has gone to bed because if not, he will definitely disturb us.
He will say he wanted to colour as well and ruined everything. He has already ruined the B. Scribbled my B with pencil colours and I can't seems to amend it, although I tried covering it with darker colours. Woohooohooo....nevermind, just let me finished the rest of it. By the way, we bought the acrylic paints from a warehouse shop that sells all sorts of art and craft stuffs nearby our house. To add on the fun....#^^(&$%@#$@$#&**^...daddy and I painted the toilet as well yesterday but with pearl glo paint lar. So, there are these BIG PAINT projects happening in the house.
I will update the mural painting pictures when we are done later. But apart from that, honestly, the toilet looks much better now....and we both like it! ;)
