CNY went past in a blink of an eye. Here I am back to work after a long week of holiday. Today is the 9th day of CNY. Looking back I did nothing much during CNY except to attend gatherings and more gatherings. I went back to Ipoh also this year. But the traffic back to KL on the 3rd day of CNY was terrible. We took 4 hours back from Ipoh to KL. The traffic was basically in a crawling stage. But luckily the boys were very obedient, especially Lunz. He sat quietly for 4 hours in the car. But, of course with Baskin Robbin and Dunkin Donuts treats.
Before the CNY, I managed to meet up with my dear sister. We had a good time talking to each other. That silly girl got me a brown bikini from Makati. It looks nice though. ;P
Her flight back to Makati really scare the hell out of me. She told me the plane nearly crashed. It was describe to every single detail on how the plane almost crashed in her blog. But, thank GOD she is fine. I can actually imagine myself in her shoes at that time. What would I think of at that moment if I knew I'm going to die? I would tell myself, this is not the end yet. I have so many things to do, so many things yet to be accomplished. I want to watch Lunz grow. I want to serve my parents. I want to be married to daddy. Other than tears and prayers, trust in faith is so important. I'm glad that she has the courage to face it all because she took the next available flight back immediately right after the accident!
This add another extra point into our lives, to cherish whatever we have because we don't know what will happen next. To all her worries and sadness, may it heal with time. And may Guardian Angel provide her with all the emotional support she needs to go through the hard times. Wishing her a smooth sailing future ahead. Love you, sis.
On another part, I would like to congratulate daddy. He has a new job. It's Manager of the IT Operations in DELL. It's consider a promotion and increment to his career. I believe that GOD has his own arrangement for you. He arrange things but it is up to us to make it happen and to grab the opportunity when it comes. I'm glad you have the courage to take up this new post. It will be a big challenge for you but there is no challenge too great to overcome when you have the will. Do your best and GOD never fail those who put in their efforts. Once again, congratulations! I'm wonderfully and truly happy for you.
Before sis left, she has told me that it's time to consider marriage. She said, what are you still waiting for? You have moved in to stay with him, your son has called him daddy. You have a steady relationship with him. You should make it official.
I told her, I know but I just don't want to rush things. I have tried to rush things and it didn't turned out good. And I even told her, just wait for him to propose first la. She told me, when 2 people has been together for so long, there is no need for proposing. It can be discussed just like that, openly. Because to propose is just another extra step that is not necessary if both are ready. Is that so? A close friend of mine in London has proved it wrong. She told me she has no marriage plan in mind with her 8 year steady boyfriend. She even told me she is comfortable living together with her boyfriend without getting married. But eventually, out of expectation, her boyfriend propose to her recently. She didn't see that coming also. But she was extremely happy when she told me about it and was glad that it happened. So, propose does happen huh even to long-term relationship? :P
To me, I will let things takes it course....
To daddy, don't get me wrong. This post is not to hint anything. It's just merely my own personal thinking and view. But the congratulations wish is sincere! :P

Trip to Sweden
I went to Sweden last month and finally have some time to blog about it now. It's a conference trip. Never in my life have I dream about seeing snow. With this job, I'm able to visit places that previously I can only dream of. This is the most memorable trip of all. It was winter and snow was everywhere. I experienced eating moose and reindeer meat, riding the snowmobile, wearing 3-4 layers of clothing, staying in a temperature of minus degrees and walking in the snow. It was an incredible experience.
View from the plane. Snow was everywhere in Sweden.
Upon landing. Pretty excited to see the snow covered ground. First time in life to see snow, and so much snow.
Stockholm Arlanda Airport. Waiting for transit to Skelleftea.
Finally in Skelleftea. Small town with only 2 streets of shopping. This is the view from our hotel room. Love the snow.
First day to attend the conference. We couldn't find the conference hall and had to spend at least 15 minutes in the cold trying to locate it. Couldn't be any happier when we finally entered the conference hall - got heater le ma.
At the conference venue. The view behind was a river. All frozen and white.
The view outside the campus. See the bridge behind? We crossed the bridge and walked back to our hotel everyday after the conference as there was no bus available in the evening. It's around 10-15 mins walk. At first, it was really difficult to walk under such cold weather, but we got used to it later.
That's the bridge. Love the all white background view. It gets dark early everyday at 3pm.
On the way for factory visit. The snow covered roof reminds me of Hansel and Gretel.
Moose! Got this zoom-in edited version from TheBlueRanger. Picture taken from the bus.
Visit to Svansele Wilderness Centre after the factory visit. Had our dinner there.
Dinner being cooked.
Real life animals - preserved. The owner has a passion for hunting. He has collected most of the animal species that could be found in Sweden.
Our exotic dinner. Moose and reindeer meat! Tasted much like mutton. I forgot to include the trout (fish) in this photo. One of the best fish I have ever tasted!
Famous gingerbread cookie and coffee.
Tried the snowmobile! I can't stop yelling because the driver did not brake when going down the slopes and was so afraid that my hat will fly off. It was freezing cold as well with the wind blowing right at my face.
Finally we have some time to walk around town on the last day of the conference. So, we took some pictures. Me with the snow! The picture shows how happy I am with the snow covered hands as if I've got gold.
The Skelleftea Airport. I'm gonna miss the white scenery.
Last picture of me with the snow and a life Christmas tree before departure.

Lunz at 4 years and 8 months
My baby is certainly growing fast! One good thing about having children is you are able to watch them grow. Watch them as they show you all sorts of silly stuffs that could make you laugh everytime you talked about it or remember it. Kids....they are really really innocent. And they are really really cute as well. If you ever asked me what is the only thing on earth that I never regret about, I would tell you that I never regret having him in my life.
Well, here are some quick updates on my Sebastian at almost 5 years old:
Bedtime
He sleeps by his own now for almost half a year. Of course, I have to be there by his side, just to accompany him to sleep. When he has fallen to sleep, I will move back to my own room. We keep both doors of the rooms open at night. Without fail, he will wake me up every night by calling me at the door. Without fail, I always grab my bolster, pillow and blanket to his room and sleep next to him. It's more like a habit now although daddy has said countless of times that I should train him to go back to sleep by himself. It's so difficult for me to stay awake in the middle of the night just to train him. I did rather sleep together with him. Hahaha...and that's why it's a habit now.
Toilet time
He poo in the toilet bowl now without any support or help...erm....except when he is done with his business. I still need to wash his buttocks and wipe him clean. But anyway it's more convenient than the potty. At least I don't have to flush his shit from the potty which is really gross sometimes. He likes to read when he poo. So, he will tell me to fetch his books for him. Any book to his liking at that moment. It's like ordering your meal in a restaurant. Mummy, take "Minnie's Rainbow" for me or take "Are We There Yet?" for me. He knows the title of his books. We encourage him to read a book during business time earlier for training purpose. To take his mind of the new toilet bowl instead of the potty but it has became much of a habit also now. He also likes to squeeze the toothpaste on to his toothbrush (just for the sake of playing with it) but I am the one who is still brushing his teeth for him.
When he needs to pee at night, he will wake up on his own. Unless he is very very tired, then he will accidentally wet his pants but will still wake up after that because he felt uncomfortable sleeping in a wet pants. He will go to the toilet by his own, switch on the lights, pee and switch off the lights and finally tumble back to his own room to resume his sleep. Of course, he always forgets to flush.
Food
He likes all sorts of junk food like cookies, ice-creams, chocolates and cakes. He still prefers noodle than rice. He is quite picky at his food sometimes. When he saw some vegetables in his noodle, he will tell me he don't want it but occasionally I will force him to swallow it. He takes vegetable sometimes and depending on what type of vegetable. As for fruits, he is still alright with the variety of fruits available but I think he likes those that can go with salt like guava and pineapple for example. He still loves milk a lot and I don't think I will be able to throw away his bottle. Not for the time being. He drinks MILO now as well. Milk intake is still as usual, 3 times a day.
School
He is coping with his school work very well. I can't be any more proud of him. The obvious differences that I saw between last year and this year are his writing and coloring skills. He can write inside the blue line in his exercise books. I mean he doesn't know how to write in the blue line previously and we still have to hold his hand to write last year. Now, all I need to do is just to tell him that he hasn't finish his home work and he will take his home work out from his school bag and his pencil case and started to write immediately. He does every writing on his own now. I don't have to guide and monitor him or even hold his hands.
Even for coloring, he can color inside the picture now. He used to scribble colors on the pictures. I would called it scribble more to color but now he is doing everything properly. For numbers, all he need to do is one look at the picture, he will know how many there are without actually counting one by one. For example, a picture of 8 apples. One look he will know that there are 8 apples without counting the apples from 1 to 8. He even know to draw shapes especially octagon. He is able to draw an octagon with 8 sides. Silly me of course octagon has 8 sides! But he knows an octagon has 8 sides and he is able to draw one. I felt a sense of accomplishment in him. As for daddy, no regret huh for forking out RM300++ per month in average for his school fees.
Others
1. Has his own opinions most of the time. Like the opposition team.
2. Likes to play computer games. Expert in YouTube.
3. Getting cuter because during bath time today, he pinch his own fatty tummy and asked his popo, "What happened?" His popo told him, fei chai lar!
4. Like to bite his nails and peel off the skins around his fingernails.
5. Says uh-oh ki tai yo! when something unexpected happens. Like normally you will say uh-oh, but he add in ki tai yo. Where on earth he learn that from?
6. Take bolsters and beat his daddy at bedtime.
7. Very good at pretending like he accidentally bump his arm, he will say ouch ouch! where in fact it's not painful at all.
8. Like violin a lot. Daddy considers enrolling him in violin classes later because I just found out that 5 year old is too young to learn violin.
9. Did not eat the lunchbox that I packed for him to school everyday. He east the food that the school provide and will only eat from the lunchbox when he reach his popo house everyday. I have stopped giving the lunchbox to him when I found out. He doesn't have to eat from the lunchbox when he's home because he will have proper lunch. Have to monitor his weight remember?
10. Knows more Chinese words than me. *Sigh* How embarrassing!
11. More and more responsive with all sorts of cute and funny actions each day!
