This and That

It's been almost a month since my last post. Nothing really special, no events to blog about, but I just have to keep my blog updated at times, just to tell my friends, I'm fine...I'm alive coz' I still can blog!

Nothing big happened recently. Just some teeny weeny details here and there to share about. Well, here goes.....

1. Big big congrats to CPK and Agnes for the good news. These 2 mothers-to-be happened to give me the good news at the same time. I'm so so very happy for them. Because being a parent myself, I know how magical, happy and valuable it is to have your own flesh and blood. Heartiest congratulations to the both of them. As both of them has a caring and loving husband, I can be rest assured that they will be well taken care of! ;)

2. I started to be aggressive again in job hunting. Sent out more than 10 applications already but so far only received 2 invitations for interview. I turned down the first one which was an event agency in charge of organizing beauty pageants. Event jobs are fun! But being me, I just want to make sure my next job is worth leaving MTC for. Apart from the salary, I'm also looking at the benefits the company is offering. With children, you need to think of them too. This event company can't gave me what I wanted, so, I dropped it off. The other one was with The Society of Petroleum Engineers, located in Centrepoint South Mid Valley City. This non-profit organization is worldwide, apparently. They are looking for event coordinator and the JD they required matches mine. Off I went for the interview yesterday. The HR Manager took 1 hour to question me. From 1 question, he can actually create another 4 or 5 questions out of that question. I answered until my mouth also dried but I managed to answer everything nicely and I guessed I left quite a good impression for him. But there could be other candidates that are better than me. We'll just have to see. Btw, the benefits that this company offers are not bad. For example, medical benefits, they gave RM3000 limit per year where else in MTC only RM1800 for married employees with children. Of course, there are pros and cons, like the stupid traffic jam and expensive food if you are to work in the Mid Valley City.

3. Grandma (mum's side) is not doing very well. I guess she will leave us soon. I already lost my beloved grandma (father's side) last year and I can't imagine losing another one this year. Humans live and die. It's just the matter when, where or how. God will take care of this cycle. Mum has been going to see her frequently on and off whenever she has a break from babysitting. When I see her, I see a reflection of myself. I know this day will come but before that I wanna make sure I'm doing everything a daughter should do. I value both my parents a lot. Mum and dad, love you guys!

4. As I grow older, I realize time pass by faster. And I realize moments will never return no matter good or bad. Take a look at my boy. He is growing and he ain't the baby he used to be. I missed those moments cradling him in my arms, when...Oh God...I can't even carry him now. All this makes me value things even more. My current marriage to daddy, this new family, my parents and friends. I can't be more thankful to God for all these. Every morning, when I was about to leave for work, I'll give the boys a peek on their cheek or forehead if they are awake at that time. Sometimes when I am in a rush, I really have no time for the kiss but I don't want myself to miss the moment or to regret not showing them how much I love them if anything happens. Thinking of that, I'll quickly drop them a kiss. Not to say bad things will happen most of the time but life is just so unpredictable. In short, I just value things much much more now.

5. Lunz is getting much more mischievous now. Sometimes when you hear him speak, you will wonder where did he learn those words from? For example, a picture of a sunglasses, daddy told him, this is "ngan gieng" (in cantonese). The boy corrected him and said, "No...this is sunglasses." Also when it was time for the "teapot" song during bedtime, he once said something that made me laughed out real hard. The last sentence of the song sounds like this:

"Tip me over and pour me out" (Me pretending as a teapot and him as a cup)

So, when I tilted my hand on to his hand (because he is the cup), he asked me, "Coffee or tea?"
I was like....how on earth does he knows what a coffee and tea is? And when he contracted chickenpox, I just told him he has polka dots and can't go to school. When I told him it's time for him to get back to school since he has recovered, he showed me the chickenpox healing marks on his body and said, "Look! Still got chickenpox!" Ermm....I thought I never mentioned the word chickenpox to him earlier? Also, he is now very much into computer games. Daddy downloaded Toy Story 3 game for him recently and everyday he will ask his daddy to play for him to see. It's like watching a movie. Daddy said he can even memorize the game already. When his daddy was too busy to entertain him, I took over the job instead. Of course, it ended up Buzz Lightyear or Woody always DIED! The boy will tap my shoulder and said, "It's ok Mummy", comforting me on my poor skills in playing computer games. But if I managed to pass a level, he will said, "Good job Mummy!"

Ish Ish......and by the way, he calls me Mummy now. He used to call me Mimi instead. But recently, he finds that Mimi is the same pronunciation as the mee mee (noodle). Therefore, he switched to call me Mummy instead.

I will be getting my studio photos soon, by next month. Can't wait!

Visit to the Cinema for Toy Story 3 and Ooopppssss!....CHICKENPOX!

We brought the lil' one for Toy Story 3 recently at the cinema. First time trying to bring him for a movie and the result turned out pretty well. Main point was, he did not said, go back...go back....so, we managed to watch the entire movie. GAWWWDDDD!!! I love Toy Story 3 a lot! It was so so much better than the first two episodes. Now, I'm just waiting for daddy to download it from the net. Wakakaka!!

It took a lot of brainwash by telling him that we will bring him to see big big TV Toy Story. Guessed he understood what we were trying to tell him as he told us he wanted to see big big TV too. So, we bought his favorite popcorn and off we went. When we found our seats, I pointed to the big screen and asked him, big big TV rite? He replied, yes. Then, during some of the movie trailers shown before the actual show began, he covered both his eyes with his hands when he saw something he didn't like. So cute, his reactions. But once the movie started, he settled in well and began munching the popcorn non-stop.

There were some action scenes where he got so excited, he screamed out loud (Woody!!! Watch out!!). The whole cinema can hear him. I thought it was funny rather than embarrassed because he was so cute. There were some moments he kept on kicking the front seat. I had to tell him NO, don't do that, most of the time. Nearing the end of the movie, he got a lil' impatience, he stood up and moved over to daddy's lap. And then he got up and walked passed me to the stairs. He stood there and waited but luckily the movie ended in no time. He got bored and wanted to leave the cinema quickly. Overall, still I think it was a big improvement for a least we get to finish the movie. :)

Today is another Monday and this morning I got a call from daddy. He told me the lil' one has red polka dots all over his body, which I did not see any when I bathed him yesterday night. Maybe it started to develop this morning. His school was closed last Friday because there were 2 cases of the hand-foot-mouth disease. I don't think that he has got that because hand-foot-mouth disease usually has red polka dots only on the hand, throat and feet. Anyway, daddy brought him to the doctor and the doctor confirmed it was chickenpox! Ta-da! The lil' one was still so energetic and he was extremely happy he doesn't have to go to school. Anyway, mum takes care of him and told me not to worry as the process of having chickenpox at a young age will be easy and non-stressful. The older you are, the harder it gets to deal with chickenpox. It just that we have to control his type of food intake. He can still bath and play as usual. It's good to have these information from mum as I can't remember them. I had chickenpox when I was very young as well.

Hmmmm......hope my baby will recover soon.
