Happy Birthday Daddy!

Daddy celebrated his 30th birthday 2 days ago. As a birthday surprise, I intentionally took half day off to find him at his company in Cyberjaya for lunch. I decided on that at work a day before and luckily my boss granted me the leave. I was so excited about the plan that I really feared I can't keep the secret from him. But I managed anyway to keep my mouth shut. Hahaha...

I woke up very early that morning to boil eggs. Guessed what I made? Red eggs!! Daddy was touched to see those eggs, I was sure. But he was kinda expressionless sometimes. Haha...but I knew he was happy. Back to the story. Then I brought the eggs together with soy sauce and pepper to work. My colleagues all really fook chor ngor. Gum yau sum gei. Brought pepper and soy sauce some more.

Then I went earlier from office because it was meant to be a surprise. I don't wanna travel all the way there and found out that he already had lunch. Just because he didn't know that I'm coming. Fearing that there was nothing much to eat in Cyberjaya, I packed char kuey teow and drinks on the way and off I went!

His company was very far from my office. I was practically driving for 80-100 km/hour for 45 minutes before I managed to locate Dell. I managed to convince the guard to let me in to the compound of the main entrance. Then I picked up my phone to dial that familiar number...

Me: Where are you? Are you having lunch? (Afraid that I was late and he was already half way eating)
Him: Just out of the toilet. Why?
Me: No la...I'm on my way to a meeting in KL. Just wanna get some directions from you because I don't know how to get to that place.
Him: OK. Try to tell me then.
Me: Well, I don't know actually where I am but I can see a building. The building has a word D-E-L-L on it. What does it means huh?
Him: Say properly. Are you serious? Are you really here?
Me: Yes, I am! At the main entrance.
Him: I'll be right down.

I guessed he was extremely happy to see me, plus when I showed him the red eggs, he couldn't be happier. I couldn't find anywhere that we can have our lunch, so I decided to park my car under a tree and we had lunch inside the car. It was fun! But daddy was so full after the lunch that he can't eat the red eggs. But he promised to eat at home later.

If I knew that there were actually a lot of cafes and restaurants there, I would not have pack our lunch. Because at least with a proper place to sit and eat, we could lingered longer. Daddy told me he felt so lonely after I have left.

I bought a mango cake from Secret Recipe at Mines on my way back. Mum and the rest are coming over at night to celebrate. Then I had a short nap and read a few pages of the Twilight Saga: The Breaking Dawn before daddy came back.

For dinner, we had KFC and mum dropped by about 8pm. They brought food along and stayed until almost 10pm.

Daddy daddy....all of us love you so much that you gotta be strong, be positive and be optimistic for us. Happy Birthday again!

Hope all your wish comes true :)

Hopefully There Will Be Sunshine After

On-going bad news had swept us off our feet lately. After a week of recoveries, both me and lunz fell sick again. But, luckily no fever involved this time. Just flu and cough. And another thing I hated most was nose block! So, these few nights I had to take those sleepy flu pills to clear off the nose block or else I can't sleep. Both of us are getting better now....hopefully it last. This morning I was chatting with my boss when he recommended me to give my kid the Redoxon Vitamin C Solubles. I told him that my son fall sick very often, mostly related to flu and cough. He told me to give him Redoxon. He used to give his kids this extra Vitamin C boost since they were small and the outcome was good, they hardly fall sick. Those kiddies Vitamin C chewable tablet ain't strong enough to fight the flu, according to him. I'll go and get a bottle later at the pharmacy for lunz. Talking about a dedicated boss like mine, he did really care for his staff. And I very much doubt if that stupid MAA boss will show a caring side like him.

And...oh ya...I did manage to call the MAA boss whom I'll be reporting to if I'm to join the company. I explained to him the whole situation that the HR reduced the salary agreed after the medical checkup and it wasn't fair for me for what was being agreed earlier. I even asked the favor of him to justify the issue for me. Expecting him to be polite considering I'm still an outsider, I got this rude remarks from him instead:

" I have so many staffs under me, do you think I would have care for such minor things? And don't assume I'm doing HR job here. You are to report to another manager as well, not only me although I was the one who interviewed you doesn't mean I'm obliged to help you. The HR has the highest say. I think you better liaised with them."

WTF???!!!...I immediately casted the idea of accepting this job away. No way I'm going to work in MAA considering what a potential jerk boss he is. Plus, the way the HR does things, no way I'm going to be bullied like that. I have to look in a long run. What if my son is sick and I need to send him to see the doctor? Or what if I need to take some time off to take care of him? Do you think I would have the flexibility to do so under that jerk? Do you think he would have care? Unlike in MTC now where I have the freedom to do so and my boss is very understanding. Luckily daddy supported me a lot considering Lunz will start his kindi next year. I will still be on the look out for other jobs and hopefully I will find one that is good soon.

Daddy, on the other hand was much pitiful. Full of obstacles in everything he does. Hopefully he will able to handle things strongly. I will give him all the moral supports that he needs although financially I'm unable to help.

Hope the bad ones will all go away soon and hopefully too, our lives will be a bit of a smooth sailing after this. At least for some peaceful time.

The First and The Last

We went for Paintball games last weekend and believe me, although it was my first, it is going to be my last as well! The game was tedious running around like mad chicken on loose and damn troublesome wearing the stupid sweaty and loose face mask. The waiting time was even longer than the time we took to play the game.

It cost RM80 per person for 4 hours of game with unlimited bullets refill. But as I said earlier, the waiting time for our turn was even longer. So, although we played for 4 hours, we only managed 3 games. And each game only lasted for 15 minutes. During the first game, I was immediately shot twice even before I had the chance to cabut and hide in the house for defense. I kena one on the thigh and another on the arm. Damn painful! You can feel that every nerve in your body jerked painfully because of the shot. The impact was so strong that your skin immediately turned blue-black. That was what happened to the injury on my thigh. The blue-black bruise was 9cm in diameter from left to right. Haiz......

Daddy was worse. Kena shots more than me. So, I spend my time yesterday night before bed rubbing on my bruises and rubbed for daddy as well. *Sigh*No

So, if not for the sake to experience the game and have some gathering with buddies, I would rather spend the money for a nice hotel buffet dinner. Perfecto
Having to fork out RM174 for 2 persons, all we got were just bruises all over the body! Fly Swat
