Some Ridiculous Digi 3 Months Policy

Here I am to complain against Digi's service. As daddy wanted to buy the ipong from Digi, both of us have to port over to Digi from Maxis. As his supplementary line, I followed as well because he pays for my phone bill. We had difficulty getting that blardy ipong because a lot of hassle occured. We went to Pavillion Digi Centre first, found out that they don't have stock and have to wait until 25 April baru ada. Then the salesperson told us that their Sg. Wang Digi Specialised Store has stock, so we walked all the way there to find out again that daddy still has a remaining amount that was not settled yet. His sister's line registered under his name. He has to settle whatever outstanding amount with Maxis before our line can be port over to Digi.

He went to pay for the outstanding amount immediately at the next door Bukit Bintang Plaza Maxis Agent Store and again was told once he returned to the Sg Wang store to get the letter from Maxis Service Centre indicating that he has fully settle the amount. It has to be a service centre to issue the letter. Agents can't. We was told that the nearest Maxis Centre was in KLCC. Hence, we gave up. Remember, we were taggling Lunz all along, running here and there. Since we park in Pavillion, we have to walk all the way back to get our car. Luckily daddy found out that there is a Maxis Centre in Pavillion, so, we managed to get the letter. But then, we have to walk all the way back Sg Wang again to hand over the letter and process the application. Off we went again and his issue was settled in the end. He managed to get his ipong the following day after the centre confirmed on his port over decision and no outstanding amount due.

Then when it came to me pulak, we also have difficulty getting the ipong. Ada duit to buy also so many problems. Well, I sort of like the phone so much that daddy decided to get me one. This is where I'll start to complain about Digi. We went all the way to Low Yat (the only store that has the white 16GB ipong in stock) and was told that they can't proceed to change the supp line and re-register into main line for us. They just can't proceed as their system doesn't cater for that process. We have to go to Digi Service Centre to do that. We don't quite believe that gal and went to the same store in Sg Wang where daddy has bought his ipong to double confirmed since Sg Wang is just next door to Low Yat. We were told the same thing also.

Then we walked all the way to Pavillion, having some deja-vu feeling that it's going to happen again. The whole hassle process of getting an ipong. At the dentre, we was told that we can't switch plan for 3 months after port over to Digi. It was their policy that we have to wait after 3 months to do anything to our line. This including supp line as well. Since daddy has already tied down to the ipong contract, this stupid policy doesn't affects him much. My line has no contract binding and yet I can't do anything because of the stupid policy.

Meaning I can't switch plan, I can't apply for the ipong and I gotta wait after 3 months to do anything.

Frustrated, we left Pavillion and hang out at Haagen-Dazz on our walk back to Sg Wang to get our car. A Friday night out without getting what we wanted to get but at least we chilled out and enjoyed our ice-cream. Just to cool down.

The next day, we made some enquiries through online iDigi chat and also by phone to their customer service. The policy just doesn't makes sense. We don't see the logic behind it. And the funny thing was we kept on getting different answers from different Digi consultants on that subject matter. The website did mentioned that we have to wait for 3 months but some consultants said it can be done. Where is the consistency in providing an accurate answer? Is this some sort of good customer service when we kept on getting different answers from different people?

I re-capped one of my conversation with a customer service consultant:

Me: I wanted to change plan and I can't do so because of some stupid policy saying that I need to wait for 3 months. This was because I was just newly port over from Maxis. Is there such as thing?
Her: Yes. There is.
Me: Then how come I kept on getting different answers from your consultants that I can do so?
Her: Let me check for you once and for all and this is the final answer ok.
Me: Better because I don't wanna make a trip down KL all the way again to find out that I can't proceed. It is just frusfrating getting inconsistent answers from your people.
Her: Sure. You hold on to the line while I checked ok.

After some time....

Her: Hi, it's confirmed that you can't switch plan until after 3 months. The policy applies.
Me: I find it pretty ridiculous you know this 3 months thing. As already a Digi customer, I'm not allowed to upgrade to a better plan. It is not that I'm switching service provider. I just want to upgrade my plan and gave Digi more money and it makes no logic with this stupid policy.
Her: Ya....I know. But we can't do anything with this policy since it has already been set. Sometimes it's good to have policy you know. This policy is meant as a trial period. A period for you to determine if you are suitable for Digi and vice-versa.
Me: I still think the policy makes no sense. We want to upgrade our plan, give more money to Digi and can't do so. Don't you think it is ridiculous to set such policy? I know the policy is there but aren't the company should be more attentive towards the customers' feedback to improve your service or policy?
Her: Yes...that's why I'm putting your comments down.

The end.

I know it is useless to babble so much on the phone with those consultants, not that they will do anything serious about it.

Such stupid policy, such stupid rules.

Then I was told in one of the calls that I can actually terminate my line and re-register as a main line. But when I brought up the issue of that 3 months policy, they quickly changed their answer by telling me I can terminate but can't re-activate as a main line until after 3 months...

OMG.....doesn't this people seems to know their job well? Aren't they suppose to be familiar with their information since they are the front line people?

This is really poor service man. If not because Digi offer a better ipong plan, we would have stick with Maxis instead. At least they provide better service.

Now, I'm stuck. I don't know whether I want to wait for 3 months to get the iDigi plan or change to a new number now and get it immediately...

My Sui Poh - Agnes Wong

Last night I asked daddy a question, why does close friends have to part when it comes to a certain stage in life? And after separating, we must also accept the fact that right there and then we will not be as close anymore in the future. I have a lot of close and good friends as I walked my life, from secondary to university, to my previous work in Astro and my current MTC. All stages of life. These good friends just come and go. We never really do keep in touch after that. Like my Astro sisters, we aren't so close anymore once I left Astro. Everybody is busy with life, me including. It just happens. But at least they left good memories, footprints in my life. That's why I'm always glad to have that more than 10 years crazy sister with me. Yes, you know I'm talking about you here. At least what we shared is from the bottom of our hearts and we truly understands each other.

Talking about separation, I'm already starting to miss a 3 years close colleague of mine. She just left MTC yesterday. The last few minutes before we part, I gave her a big hug and I noticed she was fighting back her tears when she looked at me. I noticed too that tears began to blur my vision. I dare not look at her anymore. I quickly left before my tears began to pour.

I wonder how will our friendship progress in the future? Is it so hard to stay in touch except for Facebook? Anyway, she left incredible memories for me here. Life goes on. For at least we are not parting because of death and there will be chances to see each other again.

It felt weird without her presence here, like there is a lack of something. I immediately felt it already although she just left yesterday. Nobody will Gtalk with me at work, nobody will buy fruits together with me during lunchtime, nobody will eat ice-cream with me when we feel like eating it, nobody will accompany me for adventurous lunch until 3pm and I'll miss that voice calling me sui poh all the time or scolding her husband over the phone so loudly that I can hear from my cubicle. Haha....anyway, I'll get used to it, I guessed. It's just a way of life.

But I will certainly miss having her around....

Wishing her all the best in all her future undertakings!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Daddy celebrated his 30th birthday 2 days ago. As a birthday surprise, I intentionally took half day off to find him at his company in Cyberjaya for lunch. I decided on that at work a day before and luckily my boss granted me the leave. I was so excited about the plan that I really feared I can't keep the secret from him. But I managed anyway to keep my mouth shut. Hahaha...

I woke up very early that morning to boil eggs. Guessed what I made? Red eggs!! Daddy was touched to see those eggs, I was sure. But he was kinda expressionless sometimes. Haha...but I knew he was happy. Back to the story. Then I brought the eggs together with soy sauce and pepper to work. My colleagues all really fook chor ngor. Gum yau sum gei. Brought pepper and soy sauce some more.

Then I went earlier from office because it was meant to be a surprise. I don't wanna travel all the way there and found out that he already had lunch. Just because he didn't know that I'm coming. Fearing that there was nothing much to eat in Cyberjaya, I packed char kuey teow and drinks on the way and off I went!

His company was very far from my office. I was practically driving for 80-100 km/hour for 45 minutes before I managed to locate Dell. I managed to convince the guard to let me in to the compound of the main entrance. Then I picked up my phone to dial that familiar number...

Me: Where are you? Are you having lunch? (Afraid that I was late and he was already half way eating)
Him: Just out of the toilet. Why?
Me: No la...I'm on my way to a meeting in KL. Just wanna get some directions from you because I don't know how to get to that place.
Him: OK. Try to tell me then.
Me: Well, I don't know actually where I am but I can see a building. The building has a word D-E-L-L on it. What does it means huh?
Him: Say properly. Are you serious? Are you really here?
Me: Yes, I am! At the main entrance.
Him: I'll be right down.

I guessed he was extremely happy to see me, plus when I showed him the red eggs, he couldn't be happier. I couldn't find anywhere that we can have our lunch, so I decided to park my car under a tree and we had lunch inside the car. It was fun! But daddy was so full after the lunch that he can't eat the red eggs. But he promised to eat at home later.

If I knew that there were actually a lot of cafes and restaurants there, I would not have pack our lunch. Because at least with a proper place to sit and eat, we could lingered longer. Daddy told me he felt so lonely after I have left.

I bought a mango cake from Secret Recipe at Mines on my way back. Mum and the rest are coming over at night to celebrate. Then I had a short nap and read a few pages of the Twilight Saga: The Breaking Dawn before daddy came back.

For dinner, we had KFC and mum dropped by about 8pm. They brought food along and stayed until almost 10pm.

Daddy daddy....all of us love you so much that you gotta be strong, be positive and be optimistic for us. Happy Birthday again!

Hope all your wish comes true :)

The Legend International Water Homes @ PD

As daddy will be starting his new job in DELL today, he took all of us for a short trip to PD last weekend. Just a relaxing trip before the change of job. As we had stayed in Thistle before, we decided to try something different this time. Pool-in-the-room hotel! The Legends International Water Homes.

Astro employees can get the room rates at a promotional price. So, it was kinda worth visiting since the hotel is a 5-star and was just newly opened 6 months ago. The promotion was considered a last minute treat from Astro because he just found out about it a week before his last day in Astro. But no fret because all we gotta show during check-in was just his Astro ID tag and he has it along with him anyway! We decided quite late on this trip and all the executive rooms (water villas ---> water chalets la) were fully booked. So, we have to decide between deluxe (above sea) or garden villas (on ground).

As we all know, PD's water condition is not clear. So, practically there is nothing to see even though we choose the deluxe room. Plus the deluxe room only have one king size bed. All 3 of us have to squeeze in together. Thus, I did rather pay extra 6 bucks only to have a room with 2 king size bed instead. But of course, the garden villas are on the ground instead of above-the-sea view. Luckily we chose a garden villa because the room was wider in square meters than the deluxe one. For me, an additional 6 bucks, I'm more than happy to pay!

The garden villas. Our room was the first one in the row.

Our room.

We have two king size beds.

Room has DVD player which I think is very good. At least it kept the little one accompanied.

Glass door leads to the pool while the wooden door leads to the kitchen.

Kitchen and bathroom area, all are nicely partitioned.

The kitchen. Microwave and kettle provided as well as bowls and cutlery.

Good. So we had steamboat and vodka lime there. It was heaven.

Tea making facilities.

The bathroom basin.

Opened door = shower area, closed door = toilet bowl, apa lagi.

Wooden window that separates the pool from the kitchen area. You can actually watched your kid swim while you eat.

The highlight of the room. Pool.

Shower area right at the end of the pool.

The water was chilling. The management should have installed a heater in every pool. So much for a 5 star. One of the setback of the hotel.

Lunz requested daddy to two-two again.

The main pool.

That's me!

A walk at the water villas. Water level has subsided leaving behind a muddy view.

Not a very nice view.

My baby. When I dared not take a dip in the pool because the water was chilling, he said, "Mummy so scared one". Hmmpphh....he know how to tease me already.

Father and son.

The children play room.

Happy Birthday daddy!

Silly daddy listening to his son sang birthday song.

Clapping and singing birthday song.

Lastly, a picture of me cam whoring. Hahaha....

And another...hehehe...

Another setback of the room was there were a lot of mosquito. Daddy and I were hunting for mosquito the whole night. Imagined. In just that small room, we already killed more than 10 mosquito. Scary huh? And those mosquito were already immune to the mosquito repellent that the hotel provided.

Anyway, we enjoyed the trip overall. Ahhh.....breakfast and dinner also provided. But still, we preferred out steamboat better!

Another interesting thing was Lunz actually asked his daddy:

Lunz: table plus chair equals to?
Daddy: ???? Dunno......
Lunz: tablechair!

Good answer!

Ain't he cute?

Severe Nose Allergy

When they said boys are more difficult to look after than girls, I can't agree more. My boy had severe nose allergy last weekend. All this while, he has nose allergy which I consider is a common thing knowing that it's a side effect of asthma. Occasionally, he will have to take anti-histamine. But never to an extend that he has difficulty in breathing!

OMG....it happened last weekend...

Thursday and Friday
He was sneezing non-stop at night and I thought it was just the normal nose allergy, so I gave him anti-histamine and flu syrup for him to sleep better.

Saturday night....
He was sniffing in the evening, just moments before we went out for gathering with friends. As predicted, the sniffing turned into non-stop sneeze at the restaurant. I should have given him the anti-histamine earlier before we left the house, but that would make him felt drowsy. So, it wasn't so wise after all. He was rubbing his nose so badly and the sneezing continued. In the end, daddy hold the tissue for him, so that he won't rub his nose after every sneeze which made it even more worse. We quickly got home after dinner. Then, he had nose blocked pulak after the sneezing stopped. I gave him the usual anti-histamine and flu syrup and put him to bed.

After he had fallen asleep, he was breathing so hard (because the flu syrup and anti-histamine has no effect on the blocked nose). He was trying to use his nose to breathe and you can actually see his chest rising up and down trying very hard to breathe. Worried, I quickly called mum and told her to get the mucus pump on standby and told her I'll come to collect it. Being the overly worried grandmother, she told me, it's quicker she made the trip here and hung up. It made sense considering she only need to travel one way to get the equipment here rather than I have travel two ways.

Mum arrived with the mucus pump and a nasal spray. We tried both. The pump was a failure but the nasal spray soothed him a little. However, later at night, his nose was congested again. And again, he had difficulty in breathing. I didn't sleep much that night and so was he.

The first thing in the morning, we took him to the nearby GP. Quite a good one as I had mentioned before in my previous posts. The doctor told me that normal flu syrup will not cure this. So, he asked me whether my boy was capable of swallowing pills. I told him, I have never tried before because all this while he takes only syrup but I knew pills should have a better effect since the doctor made it so obvious by asking me. Then I said, I can try to give him. If he resists, I'll smashed the pills and mixed it with water instead.

Luckily.....he was willing to swallow the pills.

The doctor gave me a nasal spray, a nostril washing spray, one antibiotic syrup and three different kinds of flu pills for the nose. My God...he has to swallow 3 pills but luckily it was broken into half. He only needs to take half a pill for three different types twice a day. The doctor also told me his throat was a bit infected because of the mucus but it's fine as long as no fever involved. He asked me to clean his room thoroughly.

So, when we went back after seeing the doctor, both daddy and I carried his mattress, pillows and bolsters out to be placed under the sun. To kill the whatever dust mites with the blazing heat from the sun. Then, we taught him how to swallow the pills. He was considered quite successful with the first attempt but when he tried to swallow the biggest pill, he failed. Hahaha....he spit it back into the cup of water. Kakaka....

Now, he is an expert in swallowing pills. And he can swallow three pills with just a half cup of water. Funny, he never complained about the medicine having bitter taste. Hehehe....but I do give him sweets after that.

And, his breathing was back to normal right after the first dose of medication. But there was a series of coughs after the nose allergy had subsided, I think mainly due to the clearing of mucus from his throat. He was absent from school for two days but he is back to normal now. The doctor was a life savior!

What a relief!
