The Newcomer

Our baby has finally arrived yesterday. It's a brand new MYVI 1.3 EZi in metallic silver coating! My kancil baby has a new partner now and surprisingly this newcomer bears the almost similar number plate to kancil baby.

Kancil baby (WPW 257) = Myvi baby (WSH 2518)

Ok...I know..I know...not that similar actually but hey, at least there is a connection hah! I mean both started with 25 eh. Anyway, since I'm the so-called car owner, I had to spend some time with Bryan (the salesman) checking out the car before I actually drove it home.

All the inspections were basically quite routine like showing me whether the signal and brake lights are working as well as for the main head lights and spot lights. He warned me not to wind down the window as he has just tinted them for me. He showed and taught me the functions of each buttons in the car. Everything seems basic to me and did not attracted much of my attention as I did sat before in a Myvi because my friends do owned them except for one particular button.

The Bluetooth button!

I was informed that only the newer version of Myvi has this function. No wonder Bryan was so excited that he experimented it for me to witness. Not bad ha? I mean for someone that doesn't use handsfree like me, someone who always switched on the loudspeaker and strapped the phone on the shoulder underneath the bra strap so that the phone wouldn't fall, this bluetooth works perfectly for me. I just need to activate the bluetooth from my phone and add devices to it. The phone will search for the Perodua bluetooth device (meaning you gotta activate both sides). Once added, it will work from there. Meaning all I need to do is just activate both sides of the bluetooth whenever I drive Myvi baby and whatever incoming or outgoing call, I don't have to speak through my phone. I can just talk and the other party will hear me even though the mic seems far away from the seat but it is no problem. The speaker will display the other party's voice.

It may not be something new to others but to me, I think that is cool and it saves my clumsiness of fumbling the phone around, trying to make calls while holding the steering wheel. I had a chance to drive Myvi baby home yesterday from Kepong. Although I'm just the so-called owner but still I'm the owner mar, thus, I had the privilege of being the first driver to bring baby on the road. Really smooth compared to kancil baby (which is of course) and very quiet too. Can hardly heard the engine roaring unlike kancil baby, very spacious and most important, low energy level utilization coz' it's automatic (that is what the lazy daddy wanted).

Ok...with a new car around, sure there will be some new destinations to head to this weekend and I already have one in mind. Hehehe....but first, a little bit of a makeover session with Myvi baby so that it totally looks bbbaaabbbbyyy-able to me.

We were just LUCKY!

My girlfriends and I had dinner at the Canton-I in The Gardens last Thursday. The main idea was to celebrate Sellina's birthday. So, we ordered 4 main dishes which includes 2 prawn wanton mee and 2 porridges. Then, we ordered 2 plates of their very famous and delicious egg tarts, 1 'fa sang woo' (peanut porridge), 1 soy bean, 1 pot of jasmine pearl, 1 steam egg in orange skin and 1 more dessert which I don't remember. That was considered a lot because there were only 4 of us and each of us had a main meal. But, we shared the desserts together.

Besides the delicious food, we had fun time laughing and chatting. We chatted almost on everything and we did crap a lot. Almost everything we talked about came with a joke. Boy, I had a great time laughing and we did enjoyed the night together. Since, I'm the only mother status around, I told them I had to leave early. So, all of us started to head towards the counter to settle our bill. As usual, when I dine with these close friends of mine, they will always offered to pay the bill. And for this time, the birthday girl won! She paid the bill with credit card while I lingered next to her at the counter to check out the amount.

The cashier gave her the bill, took her credit card and swiped it. I was surprised to see the amount on the bill and even asked, 'Why so cheap geh?' but, apparently the cashier didn't heard me. And I was being foolish...I should have kept my bloody mouth shut! But thank god, the cashier didn't heard a single thing. Hahaha....

As Sellina grabbed her credit card in return, I quickly pulled her and walked away while the others came running behind, catching up with us.

Yenny : Why are you people running la?
Me : Salah kira duit la
Yenny : Huh!! Salah, why run? Go back and ask la. (She wanted to pull me back already)
Me : Duh....they salah kira la, we untung coz we ordered so many food.
Yenny : Aiyo, tell properly la. They count less izzit? I thought they over counted.

Then, we recalled back what we took and counted the actual amount. The bill should be over 100 bucks but apparently we were charged 58 bucks only. Just because the cashier accidentally took a different table's bill. It was not our bill because the food listed in the receipt weren't ours. We were soooo lucky and we even told ourselves that we wouldn't go back to Canton-I anymore because Yenny said we shouldn't eat and shit there for the second time.

Again, luck was on our side. Yenny and I went to find Sellina for lunch in Mid Valley just now. We went to Nyonya's Colors. First time in this restaurant and honestly, the food is not bad. So, the 3 of us took a main meal each and some nyonya kuih plus drinks. The bill was 33 bucks only and again I was always the one who noticed it first. I was thinking why it would be so cheap but I didn't bother checking it out until we were seated waiting for our food to be served. I saw that the bill missed out on one main meal, then I told the girls, no wonder it was so cheap. Then, both me and Yenny went to the counter, queued and ordered again.

Thank god the queue was long enough to delay some time because Sellina came to us shortly and whispered that the dishes were correct. All the 3 main meals did arrived. We gave up queuing and walked back to our seats. Indeed, we were lucky for the second time. Because we ordered 3 main meals and the cashier counted 2 only but in the end all 3 came. Hahaha...we got 1 dish FOC!

So, we made conclusions again:

1. We were lucky when we eat together. We should go out and eat more often together.
2. Never to go back to the same restaurants to preserve the luck.
3. Must only go to expensive air-conditioned restaurants because it only happens in such environment.

Ha....us and our excuses and luck too!

Blue 10?

Yesterday when I was putting him to bed, he was mumbling to himself. I moved closer to hear what on earth he was mumbling about. I heard him saying 'Blue 10, purple 9...' all the way up to 1. As far as I'm concerned, I had never seen before any blue 10 nor purple 9 in any of the books that I had bought for him. So, I asked him again, 'Blue 10? How about 9?'

Lunz : Purple 9, blue 8, purple 7, yellow 6, orange 5, pink 4, red 3, yellow 2, green 1
Me : One more time! (Purposely asking him to repeat so that I'm sure he learnt that from school instead of him making all those combination of colors and numbers up himself)

Amazingly, he managed to repeat back the same order even after a few times and this gave me a conclusion that he indeed learnt it from school. Hahaha...I guess he enjoys school very much now! He even know how to wish uncle (the driver) 'Good Morning' every morning when he hops into his car to school. And, he actually finished the lunchbox that I packed for him everytime without fail, of course, unless he dislike the food, which he will bring it back home. For example, yesterday I packed him hotdog bread. He dug and finished the hotdog but brought back the unfinished bread. Haiz...

I packed his lunchbox with different variety of snacks everyday. It is not a necessity to provide him with snacks as the school will cater for it. The school will give the children some food such as small pieces of cakes or bread for their snack time. Anyway, I wanted to make school more interesting so I packed him with varieties of food everyday. At least, some surprise for him when he open his lunchbox to see what is in stored for him everyday during snack time.

I will make sure to alternate the type of food given everyday. It will be rotated with different types of biscuits, bread or even tarts. Sometimes I really ran out of idea on what to give him and when this happened, I usually grab whatever I could find in the household. Sometimes I will make the effort to drive out and visit bakery shops just to find him something to fill his lunchbox. Sometimes, I will even drive to a destination out of the way to get him something, like the egg tarts I got yesterday from King's Confectionary in Sri Petaling before I made the turn back to fetch daddy from Astro in Bukit Jalil. And I always felt worthwhile when I imagine his happy face when he saw the egg tarts inside his lunchbox.

So, this is what you called as a 'mother's undying love'.

Pull Your Ear!

My boy couldn't sat still even when he was sick. He was practically running around in the clinic while we waited for our turn. What else? He was sick again, this time coughing badly. Almost every 2-3 seconds I heard him cough once. Fever came as well, that's why I brought him to the paed. because I knew I need the miracle of antibiotics. Back to my boy, when he wasn't running, he just can't sat still. He either bounced up and down on his seat or landed both his fists on us. Although he was just merely playing with just by hitting us but we just have to teach him that he can't be that violent.

So, daddy came up with an idea, which was he asked Lunz to put both his hands on his ears as if he was pulling his ears until we told him to let go. The little one did not know how to pull his ears, so he just covered both of his ears with his hands. He waited until daddy said ok, then only he put his hands down. Bear in mind that this 'follow instructions' behavior only happened in front of daddy.

I took him again to the clinic on the following day because he was still coughing badly. As usual, he was unwilling to sit still also. So, I asked him to pull his ears, well, which he did in fact. It's just that when he did, he looked back at me with his innocent round eyes and said, 'Say OK la'. Boy...he was asking me to say OK so that he can let go both his hands from his ears. I burst out laughing, didn't actually expect him to say that. Then, when I said OK, he let go of his hands happily.

Sometimes I wondered, does he knows that the pull-your-ear thingy is some sort of punishment or learning lesson rather than a game?

Bad Habit at Bedtime

He is picking up a bad habit now at bedtime. He likes to DIG his nose!! He was having flu lately and all the phlegm dried up in his nose. So, everytime he dig his nose he will passed the dungs to me to throw away. And I had uncountable times throwing them for him the night before yesterday. He was so busy digging his nose and I was so busy throwing all the shits away. Then while he dug, he suddenly mumbled to himself, 'So many bei si'......Hahahaha....even he knows that he himself has so many nostril shits. Even he was complaining to himself. I was laughing so badly until tears came rolling down my cheek. Then, he even told me while holding a piece of the shit in front of me, yelling, 'I find it! I find it!'

Gosh....this kid can really make you laugh for good. He, in fact is getting pretty responsive now a days. The other day when I was driving to daddy's house when suddenly he told me, 'I want to find...' I asked him what you wanted to find?

Then he replied, 'I want to find darling. This way!' whilst pointing to the direction of his daddy's house. Then on another occasion, daddy heard lunz saying to him asking him to go upstairs, 'Come up baby!'

Wow....his speech is getting cooler!

Back to School

My baby has just resume his schooling life after the CNY holidays. He rested another week extra apart from the CNY week. He has fallen sick on the first 2 days with just running nose and cough, but however on the following days fever came and I decided to let him stayed at home until the end of the week. So, he had 2 full weeks of food and playtime enjoyment and I was started to worry whether he will throw tantrum upon resuming his school days.

Luckily he was very good. Not a single tantrum at all. I brainwashed him a lot the night before which was on Sunday. I told him that he will be going to school tomorrow and mummy will be seeing him after school. I even told him the fun things he will enjoyed at school. Just to bring back a little bit of his memory of the fun moments at school before that. Monday was supposed to be a public holiday but since the kindi was open, I decided to send him there since both daddy and I don't have to work. But we let him followed uncle's car instead. He waved me goodbye from uncle's car and I get to plant some quick peek on his cheek. Daddy asked me when uncle had already left, "Our son going very far meh, so many 'ng seh tak' gestures one?...

Men...they are just so boring....

We went to the kindi and peeped from outside. I saw that Lunz was running into the classroom and then, he never came out again even after quite awhile we had waited. Since, we couldn't see him so we did better head off to have breakfast together! We went to the Balakong morning market first, thinking to get the chili paste that one of our friends recommended. However, after walking every corner of the market, we couldn't find it. So, we bought some fresh meat and vege instead to cook for lunch. Lunz can also get to eat proper meal when he got back from school later. After the market, we headed off for our morning 'dim sum' and tea. We really enjoyed ourselves so much, relaxing and chatting while having food without that little brat around. Hahahha...

Then, I busied myself preparing for lunch once we got home. By the time I finished cooking, I only had around 1/2 hour of personal time to myself before we went out again to pick him up. So, I turned on the TV and frankly, nothing much to watch on Astro also. *Sigh*

Later when we woke up from our nap, I asked him to do homework. Both of us sat down together with Lunz and guided him on his homework. Since he was already absent for so many days from school because he was sick, his teacher let him bring back his books to do at home. 2 of the books were just some straight lines tracing where else the other 2 were just coloring. Yes, and a page where you have to trace the dotted circles. No wonder he told us, 'draw circles' earlier when we asked him what did he do at school today. Hehehe...

Daddy guided him to hold a pencil properly and traced on the dotted lines holding his hands. Then we both took turns to guide him. By the time he had finished coloring the squares, he was bored with coloring already. So, I had to color the dinosaur for him. Hah! Time for me to do some children messy coloring. :p

Now a days there is an extra chore for me to do. I have to check his bag everyday to see whether there is any homework, whether he had finished the snack that I packed for him everyday, refill his tumbler and see if his pencil colors need any sharpening. That's what I do everyday.

Yesterday I was on MC, so I picked him up from school. I hid myself behind the banner which he obviously can't spot me. When school finished, he was the first one running out to the main door followed by another kid named Chris. He took his shoes from the shelf and jumped up and down once he spotted uncle waiting outside the gate, this was because he knew it's time to go back. He hadn't seen me yet and I saw his teacher asked him to take off his shoes and go back inside to line up and say 'thank you teacher'. When he came out from the door the second time, he just walked pass the shelf without taking his shoes and landed his butt on one of the benches. He looked around at first then finally he saw me waiting outside the gate. At first, he pretended to be cheeky, looking else where even after he had seen me. Then, finally he looked back at me and yelled, it's mimi! It's mimi! I think the little one is just too happy. :)

Then he ran towards the gate and waved to me, 'Hi mimi'. I told him to get his shoes and he obediently put them on. His teacher told me before we left that Lunz was very favorable of music. He likes to sing and has excellent memory to remember the lyrics. She told me that he likes CNY songs as well. I replied to her that he watch the CNY songs everyday. So, he knew almost every type of CNY songs. ;)

The Computer Genius

The little one was a complete genius when it comes to electronic gadgets. With just the age of 2 plus, he knew how to activate a DVD player. Now, being a 3 year old plus kid, he knows how to watch Pocoyo on Youtube. Daddy just taught him for once which button to click on the screen and from there onwards he is the master of Pocoyo on Youtube. Or whatever video that he likes, for example, ABC songs, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Pingu and Little Einstein. He can sit and watch for hours.

He will move the mouse to ensure the cursor points to the video that he wanted. And then, with just a single click, the video will load by itself. All these came from daddy's influence. To hang out in front of the computer. *Sighhh*
