Ron Ng and Tavia Yeung

Hahaha....I know I am somebody's mother already and not at all young. But hey, sometimes it's good to feel young by having an idol. I still remember when I was a teenager I like Jimmy Lim so much I had a collection of his songs and videos. I like him so much I even wrote letters to him, of course, those letters are never meant to be posted. They were just for personal keeping. But those were the days....when I can go crazy about an actor or singer.

As I grow up, even though I like an actor/singer, I will just like him....and his acting or songs. I won't be as extreme as what I used to be when I was a teenager. Well, obviously rite?...I used to like Jay Chou and I'm still very much like his songs. This is because I think he is young and capable (in terms of playing the piano and other musical instrument) and no one can sing like what he does. Not even LeeHom. And his songs always bagged musical medals.

Lately however, I have a new liking. Hehehehe....it's Ron Ng! I like Ron Ng is because I think he is cute alright. But again, I just like him and I'm not the extreme person. Anyway, as a fan of Ron Ng, I joined a forum dedicated to him where I can get the latest news about him. Just to kill some of my time at work. Something for me to surf....muahahahaha!!!

Ron Ng was here in Malaysia last Sunday. He was here to promote some TVB roadshow. Below are some photos taken in Sungei Wang last Sunday.

I got the photos from the forum that I joined. Taken by some of his die hard fans who traveled all the way to Sungei Wang just to catch a glimpse of him. See! I'm not a hardcore fan because I don't go and cramped up with people just to catch my idol. Hahaha....he is cute but I prefer him with his hair natural. Without gel. He looks more boyish in EU series with his natural hair.

Anyway, some pictures of him with Tavia Yeung Yi. I think they make a cute couple. They are a perfect match made in heaven but they are just only best friends. They can really be natural with each other, teasing each other without fearing the paparazzi might make statements that they are coupled. Daddy has seen Tavia life in person and claimed she was as beautiful in person as she was on screen. That was during a private function where you got up close and personal to the stars. Maklumlah, daddy works in Astro, a broadcast station where you get high chances of bumping into celebrities. Lucky you! Nevertheless, pictures of TARO.

This is the boyish and natural hair that I meant

I like this final picture of TARO the best

A Brand New Camera - Olympus MJU 1010

Yiiippeee!!! Our holiday trip to Singapore falls on this coming Friday. Can't really wait. And because of this trip, daddy was motivated to buy a brand new camera because we simply don't have one. So, we went to Mines and surveyed the available models plus their pricing. We don't have any specific model and brand in mind, so we decided to hop in one of the photo shop and asked. The sales guy enquired about our budget and introduced a few brand which includes Samsung, Nikon, Canon and Olympus.

Very obviously, he kept pushing for the Samsung model: L201 to us instead by telling us how well the camera's function can catered for us. And the initial price for that was RM799. Even after less, it still cost about RM750. Of course, when we were out to buy things that worth 3 digits or more, surely we wanted to survey more than just one shop, possibly maybe more than one mall. So, I told the sales guy that we want to think about it first. Before we left that shop, he told us he would lowered down the price some more if we are seriously committed to buy. Anyway, I would still like to look at other shops first and decide later.

The back view of the Samsung L201

Daddy told me he was looking for a camera with optical zoom more than 3 times (normal ones are usually 3 times only) and besides, he don't trust the Samsung brand because obviously Samsung brand covers not only digital cameras but other electrical appliances. He wanted a brand that is solely on cameras like Nikon, Canon and Olympus. Then, we passed by SenQ. Knowing that SenQ doesn't offered many choices, we still have a look because we were practically there already in Mines and there was no harm checking out.

We managed to shortlist the Olympus MJU 1010 digital camera that has the specs that daddy wanted, i.e., 7 times optical zoom at only RM799 for Plus One Member. Non-member will have to purchase it at RM1050. The purchase of the camera will entitled you to a free 4GB memory card and another extra warranty year (provided if you join the membership-fee is RM12). Not bad actually but still we decided to think it through. We hopped on to another shop, Fotokem before heading home. We found out that the earlier Samsung L201 was only sold for RM749 in Fotokem and the Olympus MJU 1010 at RM1100 plus. There goes the first shop--->Blacklisted from us for such high marked up price!

That night, daddy managed to read some online reviews about both cameras. No doubt RM799 for the Olympus camera in SenQ was considered very cheap compared to the market outside. Plus, all the functions are there with 7 times optical zoom, 2.7 inch hypercrystal LCD and 10 megapixels. We made up our mind to get that camera from SenQ. So, Friday night we went back to Mines to get it. The moment we wanted to pay for it, the whole Mines went blackout! Disappointing, we headed on back home because we don't want to wait as we don't know when the electricity will resume. But, we were very determined to buy it, so, we decided to go back again tomorrow.

On the following day (Saturday), we went to Jusco to get Lunz a pair of new and comfy sandal. Suitable for our Singapore trip plus he can wear to school next time as his current pair was already much worn out. By the way, we dropped by and check out the Olympus camera price in Jusco. It was RM900 plus. This confirmed our decision. We can get no cheaper than what SenQ was offering. Sometimes, in a general store like that you can get good bargains!

By evening, we managed to purchase the camera finally! The camera comes with the FOCs as below:

1. 4GB memory card (I was shocked to see the development in technology. The 4GB card was even smaller than a SIM card-alright, I admit.....maybe I was a bit out-dated).
2. 3 years of warranty (Because we use a friend's VIP gold card member-additional 1 year warranty on top of the 2 years).
3. A Panasonic cordless house phone (This one was out from my expectation because I never thought there was a free gift but I am glad it came along with the camera package. It's red in color, nice and small. We were using it already).

A part from those, I quite like the camera. I think it was a very good bargain. Overall, I am very satisfied as we can get a cool Olympus camera for such a cheap price and so many freebies.

Just can't wait for Friday! :P

Uneventful Evening

It all started from yesterday when I was driving home after work. I saw that the Cheras road bypassing Taman Pertama was very jam so I made an alternative escape, turning into Taman Pertama and exiting into MRR II highway. Fearing that the jam might lead up to Cheras Leisure Mall, I continued driving along MRR II thinking that I could exit to Connaught highway later and made a U-turn to the opposite side of the road to get to the bank. But little did I knew that, the U-turn no longer exist. I seldom used that road, that's why. They reconstructed the whole highway. So, I had to drive all the way up to Taman Lensen and then only made my turned back to Taman Connaught. Silly isn't it? Because I need to get to Taman Lensen later but I passed by it first, went to Taman Connaught to withdraw money, then only turned back to Taman Lensen. This was so crazy!

When I reached Taman Lensen, I went to Econsave to buy vege and fish to cook for dinner. With only RM50 to last the week, I still wanted to cook for dinner and I damn regretted I did because it was the most worthless and frustrating dinner I ever had despite all the efforts I put in to prepare the dinner. Just don't want to mention what had happened during dinner here. All I knew was I shouldn't made myself so pitiful. Might as well save the $$$ to last the week before my payday next Monday. And save myself some heartache.

Back to the Econsave part, there were 2 promoter gals queueing in front of me at the cashier. They were busy chatting with the cashier while paying for their 1 item only. And the cashier was damn slow. Talking only most of the time, teasing each other. The difference between the staff in Jusco and of others, I prefer to go Jusco. At least the food and items are fresher and the staff doesn't chat like this. They concentrate on their work. I felt like eternity with their slowness. Then I had to stop by at the noodle shop to get Lunz the pork mee for dinner, sharing with meimei. After that, I was stuck at the stupid Lensen road (jam) because there is Pasar Malam in Lensen every Monday.

I finally reached mum's house by 6.15pm. Thinking Lunz might get hungry, I quickly poured out the pork mee and feed him. When I was done, I left the house 20-30 minutes later. Along my journey back to daddy's house, I bumped into a couple of pathetic drivers. These people really dunno how to drive and it got into my nerves. I was stressed because I felt that I could never reached home no matter how I tried. The bloody police made it worst when they caused the long stretch of traffic jam with their useless roadblock at the U-turn after Jusco. So, again, I was stuck at the traffic jam from Jusco's front main road until after the roadblock. The police were useless. Conducting roadblock after office hour. Wasting the tax payers' money!

When I finally made it home, I was still very stressed. The front porch was loaded with dried leaves blown in from the strong wind earlier. So, I took the broom and swept the porch. The more I sweep, the wind some how came out of no where and blew the leaves back. I was not giving up, I swept despite the wind and I managed to get a cleaner porch than it was earlier. Once I was back inside, I started to prepare dinner with daddy's help. I don't know what had gotten into me that things kept went wrong. When I tried to pour the garlics into the heating up wok, some stupid oil droplet from the wok bounced back at me (because there were water in it). It was a normal reaction as if I was burnt, I retracted and spilt some of the chopped garlics from the bowl that I was holding. Chopped garlics were scattered everywhere on the floor and I had to wipe. Then, when I tried to move around getting the things that I needed for my cooking, I accidentally broke a glass. The glass were shattered in pieces everywhere on the floor. Daddy helped with the cleaning and I vacuumed the floor as well to make sure there weren't any small pieces left behind because it would be dangerous if accidentally step on it.

When both of us finally settled down for dinner, Lunz threw tantrum because he was very tired as he did not took his afternoon nap earlier. -Something in between happened.......- The dinner was not finished. As a mother, I did rather put the tantrum boy to sleep first as I knew he threw tantrum because he was sleepy. I believe no other mothers could have nicely settled for dinner and finished her dinner while her son was crying away.

The little one slept within seconds when I put him to bed. Earlier, in the bedroom while preparing him for bed, he saw how unhappy I am because of what happened (not tantrum part) and even as young as 4 years old, he went towards and hugged me. I was touched and felt better. Later, I went for shower and the stupid shower hose fell of the compartment twice and I need to fix it back in the middle of my bath. Then, when I was washing the dishes, the dish rack holder fell off to the backyard through the window. I had to open the back gate to retrieve it. I was wondering what else could have not happened. What else??

I was bloody sleepy when daddy pulled me for a long talk. In fact, I was drowsy because I had flu medicine earlier. By 12am when I went to bed after the talk, I just couldn't sleep because the medication effect was over and my eyes were soaring badly. By 1.30am I went downstairs to drug myself again with the cough syrup thinking it would put me to sleep soon. I dunno what time I had fallen asleep and was awoken by the heavy rain. I guess maybe around 3 something.

The only thing that made my day cheerful this morning was because despite the little time I had for my sleep, I still had a nice and wonderful dream. I dreamt of Ron Ng Cheok Hei (cute TVB actor) and it was sweet! I guess that would lift my spirit up to survive my sleepy mood today.

Ron Ng

Nevertheless, congratulations to daddy for his increment which I guess I can only have in 7 years if I'm still in MTC. Plus his bonus as well. Congratulations. Although it could not be what you expected, but hey, human can never be pleased and satisfied. That was considered very good already despite the current economic situation. You should be happy for at least you weren't hearing news that you are retrenched or no bonus and increment this year. I would be praying to God thanking Him already if I get what you have now. If you feel that you are not satisfied, at least this motivates you to work harder and achieve what you want later.

New Song?

Last weekend, the little one showed me his latest song cum action learnt from school. It's cute to see him performing those actions. The song sounded something like this:

This one hand hand (lifted his right hand), this one hand hand (lifted his left hand)
Where are you? (both hands lifted up)
Here I am (right hand patting his chest), here I am (left hand patting his chest)
How do you do? (bow down)

Hope I get the song correct. :P

The Helpful Boy

Apart from being independent, I think the little one is very helpful also or is it busybody? Anyway, daddy is the one that sent him to school everyday because I have to leave very early to work. Basically the morning routine goes like this:

1. Lunz will wet the hanky in the toilet and hand it over to daddy. Daddy will wipe Lunz's face with the wet hanky. Keep him afresh for school.
2. Then, Lunz will take the comb and electric razor for daddy.
3. Lunz will personally pick a shirt from the wardrobe for daddy to wear to work.
4. Lunz will take a pair of socks for daddy and help him put them on.
5. Then, Lunz will collect all daddy's belonging such as wallet and watch and pass it to daddy.
6. He will then pick the right shoes from the shelf for daddy. He knows which type of shoes to fetch based on what daddy wear for that day. If daddy wears a shirt, Lunz will fetch the leather working shoes for him and sports shoes, if Lunz see daddy wearing a jeans. And for weekends casual wear, Lunz will get him the Hush Puppies slip-ons.

So, I told daddy....see, the son so 'hau soon lei' (loyal to you). Be your part time maid. You must love him even more.

Yesterday we washed the cars and Lunz help out as well. The little one was trying to be helpful but I guess he messed up things more instead of helping out. He took the soaked up cloth and wipe the inner window of my car instead. So, water were practically dripping from the cloth on to the inner part of the door. So, I said to him, OK baby,....thank you but you can go wash other parts instead like the outer side doors or the back of the car.

He happily hopped off thinking he had done a great job. Hahahaha....kids, they just wanted to have fun after all.

Principal's Comments

Yesterday I got a call from Lunz's school principal, Mrs. Chiu. She was basically replying the message that I left for her. In the message, I asked about Lunz's progress in class and whether he was mixing well with the rest of the kids. The comments made by Mrs. Chiu were as below:

1. He likes books a lot, especially when people read out to him, which is true. The boy loves reading his books a lot.
2. Sometimes when the teacher thought he is not paying attention during lessons, she is absolutely wrong because Lunz can answer all the questions imposed on him (I think the reason he is not paying much attention to certain lessons is because he has known them all, like the phonics sounds from A-Z).
3. Hold pencil in a strange way but he is able to write nicely without the teacher holding his hands. But when the teacher corrected him on the appropriate way of holding a pencil, he did not know how to write anymore.

Me: Mrs. Chiu, if he can hold the pencil and write nicely in his own way, why don't we just let him be?
Mrs. Chiu: No. We must train him to hold the pencil correctly because by holding the pencil in the correct way, then only he will be able to apply the right amount of pressure on the pencil for his writing to be noticeable and clear on the paper.
Me: Ohh...I see.
Mrs. Chiu: Let's train him together. You can try getting the triangular pencil and big pieces of paper. Or maybe find him those activity books where he can draw lines, trace the dotted lines or whatever. You must start now because he is still young. It's hard to change later.

4. Very fast-pick up boy (because I guess he already knew most of the lessons). She told me some of the kids are a bit slow. I told her I got teach him lessons at home and he is a Youtube fan as well.
5. Very good in phonics because he can show the teacher which sound belongs to which alphabet where else the rest of the kids can only point out the items instead of the alphabet.
6. Doesn't mix well with other kids. Mrs. Chiu told me this takes time (I mean for the kid to be fully adapted to the new environment and faces) about 6-8 months at least.
7. During PE, if he likes the game, he will join in. If he doesn't, he will stand aside and watch. He won't go into the classroom and sit (not that he can't go back into the classroom). He will just stand there and watch. - Daddy commented: Yau sing kak! -
8. Very independant as most kids will cry their lungs out if they encounter things that they don't like but my boy doesn't.

She told me that assessment day will be in May 2009 and she will inform all parents in advance.

If Only I could Travel Back Time, I Would Have Bought It!

Friday, 10 April
Supposingly, I was to stay over at mum's house that night because daddy had to work at midnight. However, later in the evening, he told me the job was canceled and he will be back home early. I was actually debating on whether to continue with the original plan of staying over at mum's house or head back to accompany daddy. So, I made a choice. I headed back to daddy's house despite the heavy rain that was already pouring by the time I left mum's house. Unable to think of what was for dinner, I went to McD's drive-thru and simply grabbed a value set meal for daddy while I took an apple pie. It was still raining heavily when I reached home.

I don't know about daddy's mood la. All I know was I went and bought dinner for us both despite the heavy downpour and I was just hoping we can sit back and enjoyed the dinner together. But the response I got from him was he wanted to take his portion up to his PC room and have it there. So, I told him, can't you just eat with me at the dining room because at least here we can accompany the little one? He obeyed but was very quiet throughout the dinner despite my efforts of asking and trying to create conversations to him. He was silent unlike our dinner time, we used to babble non-stop. After dinner, he proceeded back to his PC room and stayed there the whole night, exiting the room only for bath and sleeping time. For the first time since I moved in, I felt that my return to the house was a wrong thing to do that night. I understand everybody has their side of mood swing or bad mood but please be considerate to others' feelings as well. That night I did nothing but house chores, i.e., sweeping and mopping the floor and changing the bedsheets. Constantly, cursing myself for why I still need to do all this despite the cold shoulder that I was receiving.

I really wanted to go home when my best friend called and said she wanted to visit my mum. It was still raining that time when I told him, I will be heading back home. He made no attempt to stop me despite the heavy rain, just nodding in acknowledgment only. I felt that my temperature has started to rise again and immediately I went to get Lunz. But the boy was busy watching the TV so much he did not want to leave. Hesitating, I knew I was going to stay because it was late and I don't want to put myself in the danger risks of travelling home alone. I made firm decision to leave only the following morning, but I knew deep down in my heart that I can't walked away from him like this. Not because I am wholly dependable on him, it was because I saw the responsibility and commitment of 2 persons staying under one roof and sharing the same bed. It is how you learnt to be patience and willing to gulp down whatever the unpleasant things that he might have provoked in you. The thing which I had learnt was the ability to control my temper. I just pretended he did not exist for the night leaving me and my boy to entertain ourselves and when the boy had went to sleep, I shifted my attention to the TV alone until almost 12 midnight and then, I called it a day.

Saturday, 11 April
I knew it. I knew I did be soft-hearten and asked him, are you feeling better today? Daddy, I just wanted to tell you if you are having mood swing, tell me directly, everybody has it occasionally. I will respect it and I will not bother you for the rest of the day. I do not deserved any cold treatment from you especially after my effort to bring you dinner despite the rain and I did nothing wrong in requesting you to eat together with me.

We spent the day with a visit to the hair salon where mum, daddy and Lunz got a new haircut. Daddy was finally back to his own cheerful self after the long night. We had conversations as usual. I made a trip down to visit my grandma also. Poor ol' grandma is very old and suffering. My heart ached knowing the fact she couldn't be with us for long. For night, we went to pasar malam and hunted food for our dinner. I bought incense sticks and fruits to be brought to the Ching Ming ritual for daddy's mum on Sunday. Then, we went to mum's house for mahjong. By the time we reached home, it was already 10pm and I had to rushed the little fella to bed.

Sunday, 12 April
We left the house early in the morning. First, I asked daddy to fetch me to the nearby wet market to buy some fresh flowers for the Ching Ming ritual. Daddy's car was hit second time on the back bumper by an Indian lady while waiting for me at the car park. I must admitted the parking area was very messy and congested with cars but that's the only place he could wait for me. Daddy released the lady without asking any payment from her because the damage was just a scratch of paint lost and also considering he will be getting new spray of paint from the insurance claim. Ha...that was an incident earlier on where his car got hit as well on the bumper causing his back sensor and the side bumper a little disorientated. Daddy reported to the police and has just submitted to claim for the other party's insurance.

There I was saying the first time when I bought lucky 4D numbers after the first accident but the number never came out. So, I told daddy that I will buy this time and see if it will come out. I was very determined to buy his car plate but as the day progresses, I actually forgotten about it. Before we hit off to the cemetery, I passed Lunz to mum asking her to look after awhile for me. When we were finished we headed back to fetch him and the little one was very happy to see us. He said, Mimi, darling....hi guys! I mean, hi guys?? Where did he learnt that from? Hmmm....

We spent the afternoon setting up the ancestor's altar at home. It was meant for daddy's mum. We decided to set up this traditional remembrance for her, so we were pretty occupied till late afternoon. I was very satisfied with the setting, at least I fulfilled what I have promised her earlier. And to my surprise, daddy told me he burn incense sticks every morning after switching off the altar's lights. It was just like getting used to the habit and you will not miss it.

When it comes to dinner, each of us have to cook a dish to be brought to mum's house for family gathering. It was her 46th birthday celebration! So, daddy volunteered to cook instead and we all headed back to mum's place by 5 something. On the way back, we dropped by the shops and bought 4D numbers. The only number on my mind was daddy's mum tombstone number after our visit to the cemetery earlier. So, we bought her tombstone's number instead. My earlier determination to buy his car plate number did not cross my mind somehow at that particular moment. All I remembered was the tombstone number. Grrrr.....unlucky as it seems, daddy's car plate number popped up first prize later when we checked the Internet. It was the reversed version. We bought the tombstone number in the direct and reverse version. If we could have thought about the car plate, we would have bought in the similar version as well. Where has my earlier determination gone???!! If not, I would have pocketed RM10 K plus and this Monday's morning would have been more cheerful.

Darn....I'm now back to the ol' grumpy gloomy Monday mood.....*sigh*

Happy Easter

Yesterday, Lunz came back with his first time hand/art craft from school. Because today is Easter Day, so, the teacher taught the kids to make a hand craft that looks like an egg. Too bad I don't have a camera for if not, I will surely post the picture of his craft here. Anyway, I will try my best to describe the details. It was a shape of an egg cut out from manila cardboard measuring 15cm in width. Ribbon was tied around the edges of the egg. In the middle of the egg was written "EASTER" and was colored. The center of the egg was decorated with different kind of beads. Overall I think it was a good art work and was very proud of him because this was his very first hand made craft. I put the precious-to-mummy art on top of the piano and keep it well later so that I can show him back all his work when he grows older.

Last Sunday we had to force him to do his homework. The boy knew how to act lazy when it comes to the homework that he disliked such as coloring and writing. He prefers doing activities that he likes such as matching the items, drawing lines, identifying things, reading and etc. So, there was this page with a circus elephant picture that he has to color as a part of his homework. But he was so reluctant and lazy, he asked his mummy to hold his hands and do the favor for him instead. But daddy said no. Don't helped him, let him do his homework by himself. Daddy told Lunz, OK, you don't want to color...fine...no TV for you. You don't do your homework, you can't watch TV. So, he forbids Lunz from switching on the TV.

Both of us left him alone sitting on the sofa to think by himself. Few times he told me he wanted to see TV but I told him no, unless he finished his coloring. After a few minutes, giving up, he told daddy that he wanted to color the elephant and daddy turned to the relevant page for him. Seems to understand what he has to do, he finished the coloring by himself. Although a bit messy and out of line, but I'm happy he took the initiative to finish it. That is the most important quality. At least, he wasn't that stubborn until he can abort the idea of watching his favorite channel on TV. :)

As promised, we gave him what he wants. The TV!

Recently he enjoys repeating, Good Morning Teacher Aiiiyyyerrr (It's actually Lydia, Teacher Lydia) after when I said, Good Morning Children. I had to repeat many times Good Morning Children because he just wouldn't stop! Hehehe....I guess he likes school very much.

Anyway, Happy Easter everybody and TGIF!

The Amway Nutrilite Protein Powder

The Amway Nutrilite Protein Powder, 450g

The Blue Ranger recommended the Amway Nutrilite Protein Powder to me recently when I told her that Lunz fell sick again. She told me that her mum who has nose allergy tried the product and became better. So, she decided to try it out as well. Her hubby and son already took one can so far and according to her, her hubby felt so much better. This is because her hubby has an asthma background, like Lunz easily prone to cold and nose allergy. But, since he took the product, his body's immune system became stronger and he is less likely to be easily affected by the constantly changing weather and environment.

Since Lunz is so frequent in falling sick, I decided to seek alternative supplement to boost up his immune system. No joke but he actually visited the doctor almost every month and I'm sick of giving him the doctor's prescriptions because it will do no good to the body if intake regularly like the antibiotics. So, I ordered a can of the Nutrilite Protein Powder from The Blue Ranger and tried it out. Hopefully this will be the answer I'm seeking for.

I got the product on Monday and I gave him immediately that night. I mixed one scoop of the powder with half glass of orange juice. He took a few sips and put down the glass. Since there was still remaining half of the mixture in the glass, I asked him to finished it. But he ran away reluctantly. The more I chased him, the more he ran. I tried the mixture, it was alright except for the powdery texture that you can obviously taste when you swallowed the liquid. But, anyway, since I already made it, I asked him to finished it and promised to bribe him with a sweet afterwards. The little one shivered after he took the solution. That bad ah?

So, I asked daddy to mix the powder with milk instead and put half a scoop only the next morning. Try mixing it with milk and see what was the response. According to daddy, Lunz's strong passion for milk did not stop him from finishing his bottle although maybe he could have tasted the powdery texture. But, I guess half a scoop would do fine and I will stick with that everyday and see what's the progress. Half a scoop twice a day, morning and night mixing it with milk. Let's monitor for one can and if there is improvement, no harm spending 80++ bucks every month for his good health.

I even tried reading some reviews of the product online and it says the product provides the essential asid amino protein for growth and development. Apart from that, the protein boost the immunity system and form antibody, exactly what he needed. The product are available in 2 flavors, one is original (unflavored and unsweetened) and one with berry flavored complete with vitamin C and calcium (meant for kids). Since he is willing to take the powder with milk, I will opt to get the original one continuously because original is always better. Of course, unless if he was unwilling to take the powder with milk or other juices, then I had no choice but to try out the berry flavored one instead.

Let's wait and see and I'll update the progress. :)

I Want To Find The Butterflies

The little one plays by himself most of the time as he is the only child. Sometimes he rides the bike, sometimes he read and at times he play the Play-Doh set that he has. Most of the time he speaks to himself. Recently, he discovered the fun from a torch light. He took the torch light and went underneath the blanket, pretending to catch butterflies. So, to join in the fun, I cut out butterfly figures from papers and stuck them all over the house, i.e., on the railing, doorknob, wall or where ever that was obvious to him.

Then I told him to go and find the butterflies with the torch light. At first he couldn't understand what I meant. So, I showed him one of the butterflies stuck on the cabinet door with the torch light. He got a shock and was confused thinking it was a real one. However, he started to have fun after finding out the paper butterflies were fake. He ran around the house looking for more and when found one after one, he jumped and yell happily.

So, I cut out the figures from colored papers yesterday at work. Just 5 mins before heading back home. At least, the butterflies were colored unlike the Giant newsletter that I used previously. Maybe I should make a trip down to the butterfly park. Hehehehe....

On the other hand, yesterday daddy babysitted Lunz to bed while I took my bath. Once I exited from the bathroom, daddy told me that the boy was a naughty brat. Out of curiosity, I asked him what had happened...

Daddy: Your son very naughty lar.
Me: What happened?
Daddy: Just now he called me darling, I ignored him, kept quiet. Few times. Then you know what he called me?
Me: What?
Daddy: Leong Kai Seng!!

I was laughing and shaking my head. Boys, they can be so mischievous at times. That is the joy of having a boy. A girl, I doubt that she will be this naughty and witty. :)

Anyway, it's daddy's birthday today. Happy Birthday daddy!

Big and Small ABCs, Numbers and Many More

My little prince already knew how to write the alphabets from A-Z both capital and small letters. Apart from that, he is good with numbers, writing them from 1 until 12 I guessed. Daddy taught him a few times on 3 digit numbers like 100, 200, 300 and so on. Daddy tested him, asking him to tell us how does 600 sounds like. He answered, sixty hundred!

Kakaka....few times and still repeating the same answer. Probably too hard for him to digest 3 digits. Hehehe....Daddy taught him simple maths also like add and subtract. The little one tried to draw pictures that comes with every alphabet. What else? He saw this clip from Youtube lar. It was an A-Z song. Although a 4 year old kid hasn't learn to draw as nicely as an adult yet but one look you will definitely know what item was that. At least the drawings weren't that bad.

I didn't knew what the alphabets were referring to because I didn't followed the video clip. I was just making a wild guess on his drawings while he drew yesterday night for me to see before bedtime.

A is for Ant (He doesn't know how to draw an ant. Passed the pencil to me and asked me to draw)
B is for Banana (Drew a moon shape thingy)
C is for Crab (I drew a cat, he rubbed it off. Asked me to draw again. I thought my cat looks bad but daddy entered the room and told me it's supposed to be a crab! Duh)
D is for Dog (My dog is a PASS)
E is for Egg (He drew an oval shape figure and told me it's an egg)
F is for Fish (My fish is a PASS as well)
G is for Grape (He drew a grape-a circle lar. Considered as a grape lor)
H is for Hand (I drew a hand for him)
I is for Ice-Cream (He drew a circle and an upside down triangle beneath the circle. Not bad for a cone ice-cream)
J is for ??? (He drew something which I don't know what. I will find out later)
K is for Key (He drew a circle and a zig-zag line from the circle)
L is for Ladder (He drew 2 straight vertical lines and some horizontal lines in between the vertical lines)
M is for Monkey (Why do I have to draw animals everytime?)
N is for Numbers (I didn't knew it was numbers until I saw him writing them 1 to 5)
O is for Orange (He drew a circle, a star in the middle and complete it with dots everywhere in the circle)
P is for Pencil (He drew many straight lines-many pencils gua I guessed)
Q is for Question mark (He drew a curve with a tail to the bottom and ended it with a dot)

And so on, until I had to help him with Y is for Yatch and Z is for Zebra (Animal again!)

Mum's Hospital Admittance and Surgery

Time flies. In a blink of eye, we are now in April. Today is First of April, April Fool's day! With so many things happening around recently and a gloomy economic downturn, April Fool's day is not funny at all. Well, it is supposed to be funny isn't it with silly people messing around making other people thought the matter is for real. But, with the current situation going around, no one is in the mood for joke!

Myself on the other hand had my own problems. Mum was admitted into hospital last Thursday for a major operation to remove the whole reproductive system. She has got 6-7 fibroids of 5-6cm in diameter wide inside her uterus which caused blockage to her bladder. She was unable to pass urine because of these parasites. So, she was admitted into the EU ward in Pantai Cheras to release the urine first using a tube. Then she was referred to a Urinologist who confirmed the problem and advised for immediate surgery.

At first, we decided to have the operation in Pantai Cheras for the following week but somehow my uncle (mum's younger brother) found out about it and insisted my mum to be admitted immediately into Gleneagles Medical Centre. Based on his connection, my uncle was able to arrange for a suitable gynae doctor to consult my mum. My uncle is a regular customer there and I guessed he has donated a bungalow to Gleneagles so far as my grandma always fell sick and need hospital admittance. So, we left it to him to arrange everything. Mum just needed to pack her stuffs and off she goes. Based on the initial consultation, there were 2 ways the surgery can be done. One was to remove those fibroids blocking the bladder only and left the remaining non-disturbance ones. But it will contributes to 20% of cancer risk. The other way was to remove the whole uterus, the reproductive system so that you don't have to worry about second operation in case something bad happens again.

So, mum said since she was so old already, might as well removed the whole thing. She signed for it and had the operation on Friday. By chosing the second method, she has to intake hormone pills as she age to balance out her hormones and aging process. Hopefully the doctor will recommend a good one. I went to see her after work on the day of her surgery and the sight of her made my heart ached. Lying there on the bed looking so pale and yellow, her skin showed no sign of blood flow. You know what I mean, the normal skin color. She was so pale and extremely tired. My uncle was there when I arrived. My other 2 aunties were there as well. Both of them gave my mum some money while my uncle made the largest contribution, 4 digits. My uncle has helped us a lot in the past. Our family really owed him a lot. It's his generosity that counts because dad's side of family has not even helped as much as he did. My mum told my aunt that the fortune teller's prediction has came true. He predicted that my mum will undergo a major operation before she reaches the age of 50. That time she was just 15 years old. Mum is 46 now. Boy...guess the old man has passed away for if not, I'll get him to predict when I will be filthy rich! Hehehe....

On the second night after the surgery I stayed over at night with her. My elder sis-in-law accompanied her on the first night. She looked much better but she didn't sleep at all from 12am till 6am in the morning. She told me she can't sleep and she complaint I slept like a pig. Hell...where got? I still got woke up and attended her many times that night, it's just that during times she didn't need me, for surely I dozed off. The air-cond was freaking cold as well, resulted in me having running nose. And many thanks to our inconsiderate room mate who switched on the TV with loud volume until 12 midnight. Because of them, mum hardly get to rest properly. But she told me she had a nice sleep the following night when the fellas has already checked out. Daddy looked after Lunz while I'm not around. He is really a caring daddy as he attended to Lunz's daily routine well. I mean, he looks after him well.

When morning came, mum tried to sit up and walked. She was doing good so far, slowly recovering. Daddy gave me a morning surprise visit completed with breakfast (egg tarts and other Chinese kuih) delivery together with Lunz. Finally, mum was discharged and she went back home yesterday. I tried to cook for her whenever I can because I'm the earliest person to reach home on working days. We even figured out how to manage the kids because in this situation we don't want her to move to much. She must get plenty of rest. I even asked the driver to send Lunz up as mum couldn't walk down the stairs to get him for some time. My uncle even offered to lend us one of his maid soon. Hopefully the maid can help out on the kids and some house chores.

Seeing such incident, I was scared as well. I haven't done any checkup since Lunz was born. 4 odd years. Gosh, I must go for my checkup already...soon....

A word of advice, if you can't afford monthly premium insurance, at least buy a medical card. Saves you a lot of headache and no need to fork out money for hospital admittance and surgery. Because if without the medical card, I don't know where on earth that me and my brothers should get the money to settle the RM10k ++ hospital fees.

Nevertheless, to mum, hopefully she gets well soon.
