Holiday in Redang

This might be some late post as the holiday was in May this year and now is already July. The reason I wanted to include it in this blog is because this is my first outstation vacation with my little brat. And I just wanna highlight that I did not regret bringing him along ;P

It was a 3 days 2 nights vacation in Redang. We stayed in Laguna though. We went there together with daddy' s side of family. So, lunz has got the company of dominic, which is his cousin. And that was one of the particular reason I brought him along, although my mum did offered to look after him for me in the first place while I can have some hassle-free holiday.

Nevertheless, he behaved quite well during the journey it took us from KL to Redang. It was very tiring and hectic due to we have to switch from car to plane, from plane to van and from van to boat. Luckily, the boys were very obedient and luckily too, I brought a lot of junior snacks to keep them obedient. Hahahaha.....

After checking into our room, we headed immediately to the beach for a stroll. When, we got down to the beach, lunz was a bit wary at first. But after watching the rest of the family members enjoying themselves and after much persuasion from both mummy and daddy, finally he joined in the fun. But he just gotta be rest assured that mummy and daddy had to be near him. Not even an inch away. So we started by letting him down on the wet shore to explore a little on his own, playing with the beach toys that we brought along. There were times when daddy got too excited with the crystal clear blue water and wandered deeper into the waves. Lunz shouted his lungs out for daddy to come back even though I was there beside him. So in the end, both of us just fumbled on the wet sand accompanying him. Despite that, we still have good times because the sand were so soft and it felt like you are lying on top of a soft carpet. Besides, it's a fun thing being hit by the waves rolling up on shore.

The next thing we hit was the pool. Time for some splish-splash! Nevertheless to say, he enjoyed it very much. Especially with the red beach ball in hand.

Meals were buffet styled. And it also depends on the menu. You can get good food for dinner but it can also be otherwise for the following night. Mummy and daddy spent some quality time strolling along the beach at night while lunz was in slumber land. The poor little fellow had so much fun during the day that he would not nap in the noon. So, he fell asleep very fast and very early night time.

We went snorkeling on the second day. First was the marine park snorkeling where lunz had a time of his life. Daddy and mummy took turn snorkeling. I carried lunz into the water that reached my waist length to feed the fishes with bread while daddy snorkeled around. Later we took turn for the task. But the most satisfying thing was watching lunz yelled with fun and excitement when the fishes nibbled on the bread he held in his small little hands. He really had a great time!

But when it comes to the deep water snorkeling, we had a slight problem. Lunz was sooooo afraid of the open sea view that he dare not dipped into the water even though we rest assured him that it will be alright. He yelled his lungs out when we tried to move him into the water. So, no choice mummy had to stay with him on the boat. We sat on the edge of the boat. But the boat was swaying left and right so badly due to the current of the waves that I thought I could just vomited on the spot. But, daddy was the worse. Hahaha....in order to keep lunz entertained he had to keep on catching the ball that his son threw into the water. How tiring it must have been for him especially he had to swim with his life jacket on and both feet unable to touch the ground, grabbing the ball thrown at different directions. Poor thing....but anyway, daddy did a good job. Lunz did not throw any tantrum until finally, relieved when we headed back shore.

Daddy had a tough time catching the ball.
He said he wanted to faint already due to
extreme tiredness...hahaha...lack of stamina!

When it comes to the final day, we did nothing much except to let the kids enjoyed themselves in the pool. And yes, we managed to snap some photos of the whole family before departure.

Having to repeat riding the different but sequential transportation back from Redang to KL really scared me but nevertheless, I'm glad to say that everybody enjoyed themselves so much especially the kids. We could even think of having trips like this in the future right, daddy?? Hehehe.... ;P
